Clinical trials are a critical step in the development of new therapies.  Sirtris’ clinical development strategy is to develop novel drugs for the treatment of diseases of aging and to rapidly make them available to patients.  We work in collaboration with world-renowned clinical investigators and key thought-leaders in the sirtuin field to design innovative clinical trials that embrace a focused and streamlined approach to drug development. 

Sirtris’ development decisions are based on a rigorous scientific interpretation of clinical data, a growing understanding of the biology of our drug targets, and the best interests of patients.  Our focus is to expand the development of our drug candidates into additional indications and combination studies with other approved agents in order to broaden their market potential and enhance the lives of patients affected by diseases of aging.
